This early 20th century commercial building with Renaissance Revival styling was built for Dr. Samuel Hartman, a wealthy Columbus resident. One of the tallest buildings in Columbus at the time of its erection in 1911, it provided office rental space, housed an ornate theater and provided a backdrop for the still developing Ohio Statehouse Square. It boasts rich interior details, some of which have been extensively altered.
